From the preface: This book gives to the reader scriptural illustrations of human interest, shows clearly the fall of man, his wanderings in sin’s wilderness, the offer of redemption through the gospel, and the way back to God and holiness of heart and life. There is not only interesting reading in these pages but homespun philosophy mingled with orthodox theology. This book will stimulate faith on the part of those individuals who may be seeking “the more excellent way” and lead them into personal experience. It will confirm the faith of the sanctified and encourage them to hold fast their profession and increase their zeal for conquest in evangelism at home and abroad. The Table of Contents are as follows: Chapter 1 ー CHICKENS COME HOME TO ROOST Chapter 2 ー THE RIVER JORDAN Chapter 3 ー THIS GREAT SALVATION Chapter 4 ー THE IDEAL CHURCH Chapter 5 ー THE TREE THAT IS DEAD AT THE TOP Chapter 6 ー THE FRUITS OF DECEPTION Chapter 7 ー THE MARKS OF THE LOSS OF FIRST LOVE Chapter 8 ー UPHELD Chapter 9 ー UNDER HIS WINGS Chapter 10 ー GUIDED BY HIS EYE Chapter 11 ー GRAVEN ON THE PALMS OF HIS HANDS Chapter 12 ー WANDERING Chapter 13 ー CROSSING JORDAN Chapter 14 ー SEVEN CONFESSIONS Chapter 15 ー SOMETHING NEW Chapter 16 ー THE MORNING GLORY AND THE GLORY OF THE MORNING About the author: Reuben A. Robinson (1860-1942) was a Methodist itinerant preacher, who later threw his lot in with the Nazarene church. Despite all the good he did, and all the authority he held, he was best known as "Uncle Bud." No doubt this was due to his simple way of preaching and overwhelming way of loving on people. The following is a brief obituary that serves as a concise biographical sketch: "An evangelist who claimed to have preached 32,176 sermons and won 200,000 converts, Rev. Reuben "Uncle Buddy" Robinson, is dead today. The thirteenth child of a poor mountain family of White county, Tennessee, he had an impediment of speech and could not write a word or spell his own name when he was converted at 20. But he overcame these handicaps to preach an average of 500 sermons a year to 72 denominations in his 61 years on the sawdust trail, and to write 10 books of which 500,000 copies were sold. He died last night in his Pasadena home. He was 82 years old."画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。
