It then flows smoothly in to a series of fictitious short stories, all of which were inspired by actual events that took place during the authors law enforcement career. There is both humor and tragedy, as you follow Stoney Burke through his day to day experiences, on the beat, as a patrol sergeant with the Tomahawk County Sheriffs Office. Although the events actually took place, all names, locations, and police agencies are fictitious to protect the innocent and guilty.
