Carmel D Smith also known as poetry Ladylyric is a native of Lenoir, NC, but she grew up in Hickory, NC. Carmel D Smith was also born on, February the 7th 1967. And she then moved to Hickory NC as a young adolescent, she is a mother of a son and daughter. She is also a grandmother of 6 grandchildren, she has been a professional truck driver for, 4 years. Carmel began to write poetry 6 years ago, which was back in 2012. She was inspired by radio talk show host Michael Baisden. On a quote he stated about not being around people are a person that does not support you in, your dreams. That’s when she began to write down her feelings. Then she fell in love with poetry. She stated about with a person who is not , going to support you with your dreams and goals. She began to write poetry and fell in love with it. She started as a caterpillar and then she transformed into a beautiful black butterfly. Carmel loves the Lord and she loves writing about worldly events as well as personal life’s experiences.
