Canadian performer Elliot Page (formerly known as Ellen Page; born February 21, 1987). In addition to being selected for an Academy Grant, two BAFTA Grants, an Early Evening Emmy Grant, and a Satellite Honor, he has received several other distinctions. Page was given a gender when she was born, but in December 2020, she came out as a trans guy on her terms. He appeared on the cover of Time in Walk 2021, being the first openly trans male to do so. Elliot Page swiftly became the most recognizably trans masculine person in the world after coming out as trans in a touching Instagram post and amid a particularly tense political moment for trans people in the US. More than 30 state governments have put out more than 115 measures that would limit the freedoms and access to medical treatment for trans people in the months following Page's original essay, with a focus on trans children.
