Trevor is a foreigner in Sri Lanka who has fallen in love with Amali and with the island. Amali sends him on an island-wide mission to find her mother who is heavily involved in illicit gambling. On the way Trevor will meet various other foreigners who are making a life in South East Asia as well as many locals for whom the strange ways of foreigners arouses deep curiosity. He will also encounter a variety of difficulties which involve a lot of swearing and, for some reason, soiled underwear.
