Shane Daniels, the main character in 'A Murder Solved Twice' is an investigator for a lawyer and he has a compelling backstory. He's a former cop who was permanently disabled when he was shot in the left knee and must deal with his memories of his father, a convicted killer also involved in the murder of Shane's mother. Shane's partner, Emma Carstairs, who lost her left leg while in the Canadian Forces, counsels other amputees. Gavin Benson was found guilty by a jury of killing the much younger woman he was having an affair with.
