This is a first aid kit inspired by the experi-ences of victims from the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. We have collected all the items and information you need for survival.This project began with the collaboration between OSIGNER, a design firm, and Kohshin Shoji Corporation, a company based in Miyagi prefecture of the Tohoku region. Just 40 hours after the disaster, NOSIGNER hosted a wiki project, “OLIVE”, to collect survival knowledge for recovery. Kohshin Shoji Corporation had also been creating a first aid kit that includes everything you need during a disaster. The two companies bonded over their activities for the Tohoku region, triggering the start of this book, “THE SECOND AID”.
